Thanks for your strong support! We received a lot of answers regarding software that should be integrated with coreDS™ (providing HLA and DIS integration). Some of them were just plain weird – someone suggested Excel… Well, that would be an interesting challenge, I don’t think a lot of people would use Excel as a federate in a Distributed Simulation exercise!
Our top five contenders so far are:
- STK (Satellite Toolkit) – AGI already provides a HLA integration but the integration is fairly limited from what we’ve been told.
- SecondLife
- Fortran
- X-Plane (with support for detonation, visual plane representation based on the DIS entity type, etc.)
- Prepared3d
